Doncaster Ramblers Group

Welcome to the website of the Ramblers’ Association Doncaster Group.

We would like to invite you to walk with us.  We walk regularly in the Doncaster area as well as in Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, north Nottinghamshire, Yorkshire, etc.

We walk regularly on Tuesdays and Saturdays throughout the year, and Wednesday evenings in the summer.  The Tuesday and Saturday walks usually start at 10.00, and the Wednesday evening walks usually start at 6.30 or 7.00pm.

A group walk on the second and fourth Thursdays, meeting at 9.45 at the new transport interchange.  These are 7 to 8 mile linear walks, using public transport.

We also organise day coach trips several times a year to places such as the Yorkshire Dales, Northumberland and the Lake District, and we organise two weekends away every year.

We extend a very warm welcome to all new walkers.  You are welcome to try us for three walks with no commitment.  If you like what you see then you are welcome to join us.

The annual subscription of the Ramblers’ Association is less than 50p per week. The RA, a registered charity, operates both on a local and national level and aims to encourage walking, to protect and maintain rights of way, to increase access to open country and to defend the beauty of the countryside.
